How much is the new home buyer rebate?
Your rebate is 1% of the sales price of the new construction home you purchase.
How does it work?
You will enter into a Buyer representation agreement with our team that
obligates us to work in your best interests. We will work with the
builder and lower the 3% commission to 2%. You can use the extra 1%
towards upgrades and or closing costs. This is a win win for everyone
and why the builders endorse the system.
Do all builders cooperate with the rebate program?
There may be some renegades out there, but most builders are anxious to
work with Realtors. They admit that more than 90% of their business
comes from the Real Estate community. The commissions they pay come
from advertising funds and do not affect pricing or the sales persons
commissions in most all cases.
What do I need when I go house-hunting?
Click here to print a registration card you must present to the salesperson of every builder you visit. Tell the on-site agent that you would like to register C.W. Ross with Re-Max Memorial as the agent representing you. It is important that you do this on your first visit with the builder, and never sign a contract without discussing first with us.
What if I'm already working with another agent?
You may be eligible for our rebate if you haven't signed an Exclusive Buyers Agency Agreement with your current agent. If you haven't signed an exclusivity contract with another agent and they haven't registered you with the builder then you are eligible for our rebate program.
This seems too good to be true.
When you sign the contract with the builder our commission will be
disclosed. We will lower it by 1%. This will be a credit for you to use
towards upgrades of your choice or lender allowed closing costs. The
benefit to you is immediate.
